Benton Downer, Owner & Principal Broker

Benton is a native of Charlottesville, and his sole career has been in Real Estate Brokerage since graduating from Hampden-Sydney College. First licensed in 1977. He earned his Brokers License in 1981.  After working for Alcova Realty1977-1982, HasBrouck & Graham Real Estate 1983-1989, and Montague, Miller & Co Realtors 1990-1996 . Downer and Associates was formed in 1996.  As a principal broker, Benton brings years of Commercial Brokerage experience and a significant list of customers and completed transactions. Benton is very active in his church and the Charlottesville community, Has served as a committee member, and as a member of the Board of Directors  for the Virginia Association of Realtors. He has Served the Charlottesville Association of Realtors in every Capacity including President in 2005.

Bill Downer, Agent

Key role player in Charlottesville economics serving as President for the Downtown Mall. In addition, Bill also owned and operated William’s Colonnade located at the shops of Barracks Road. Catherine Maino, Marketing Partner

 Catherine's passion working with clients and diverse businesses drove her desire to use her experience exclusively to benefit business. That meant creating an advertising agency!

Upon relocating to Virginia years ago she opened Mosaic Innovations In Marketing with a partner.  Her specialties include extensive knowledge of traditional media, creating branding direction, devising social/digital strategies and platforms for clients.

In December 2014 she opened her own agency, Main Opt and continues to work with all clients from the past agency and new clients! Services include digital, video and social media as well as mass-market media negotiations and implementation. She has served as Chairperson on multiple advertising councils, community boards and non-profit committees.
